Scrumban Work Management is a work-management model that integrates Scrum Delivery Structure with Kanban Flow Management so that iterative coordination and delivery cadence operate together with flow, pull and work-in-progress control.
Why the integration matters
Scrum provides a recurring delivery structure, while Kanban provides mechanisms for managing the actual flow of work. Scrumban combines those strengths without assuming that either structure alone addresses every work-management condition.
The Scrum component
Scrum Delivery Structure contributes recurring planning, review, improvement and role clarity. These elements provide cadence and coordination.
The Kanban component
Kanban Flow Management contributes visualization, pull, work-in-progress control, explicit policies and flow-oriented improvement. These mechanisms provide direct visibility into how work moves through the system.
Operating policies and feedback
Scrumban requires explicit decisions about how work enters, moves through and exits the system. Delivery cadence and flow observations create complementary feedback so teams can inspect both what was delivered and how the work system behaved.
