IBQMI® develops and maintains professional standards, frameworks, bodies of knowledge and system architectures that define the structure, operating logic, knowledge domains and capability requirements behind its professional credentials.

The standards and frameworks layer comes before learning delivery, assessment and credential issuance. It establishes what the professional system represents before a candidate is taught, assessed or awarded a title.

The institution responsible for this standards system is International Business and Quality Management Institute LLC, publicly operating as IBQMI®.

The standards layer comes first

IBQMI does not begin with a certificate and construct a learning product around it. The professional system begins with the definition of the field, its operating logic, its knowledge structure and the capabilities that the resulting credential is intended to represent.

Learning materials, assessment methods and credentials are downstream components of that system.

The standard is distinct from the IBQMI Lean Enterprise Architect® professional credential.

Q-FrameworX™ and the IBQMI portfolio

Q-FrameworX™ is the public framework library through which IBQMI presents and organizes institutional frameworks and related professional systems.

The library supports the distinction between the underlying framework or standard and the certification pathway through which an individual may prepare for assessment and obtain a professional credential.

Standards ownership and maintenance
