The IBQMI Certified DevOps Manager credential validates professional capability in designing, coordinating and improving a DevOps Operating Model across delivery, operations, automation, feedback and accountability.
Capability scope
The credential concerns the operating system around software delivery and operation rather than proficiency in one vendor tool. Professional capability includes understanding delivery flow, operational responsibility, automation boundaries, feedback mechanisms and improvement.
Relationship to execution-first architecture
The DevOps Operating Model supports Execution-first Architecture. The credential therefore operates within a broader professional ecosystem without becoming an enterprise-architecture credential.
Credential and implementation
The credential validates individual capability. It does not independently prove that an organization has implemented a mature DevOps operating model or that a particular software delivery system will perform successfully.
Institutional context
The credential belongs to the IBQMI® certification model and the IBQMI® standards and frameworks portfolio. Credential status can be checked through IBQMI® credential verification. The professional system is maintained by IBQMI®.
What the credential does not mean
It is not a vendor certification, employment guarantee or claim that every organizational delivery problem can be solved through DevOps. It does not transfer organizational decision authority to the credential holder.
