Canonical definition
IBQMI® certification pathways are structured professional routes connecting a defined professional domain, its underlying standard or framework, learning and preparation, applicable assessment requirements, credential issuance and digital verification.
A pathway is not merely a course catalogue entry. It forms part of the institutionally governed IBQMI® certification model.
The institution responsible for the pathways is International Business and Quality Management Institute LLC, publicly operating as IBQMI®.
What a certification pathway contains
1. Professional domain
The pathway begins with a defined field of professional responsibility and practice.
2. Standard or framework
The underlying professional system establishes the structure, concepts, boundaries and capability requirements represented by the pathway.
3. Learning and preparation
Learning resources and training routes support preparation for the applicable professional requirements.
4. Assessment requirements
The pathway defines how the relevant knowledge or professional capability must be demonstrated.
5. Credential issuance
IBQMI issues the professional credential after the applicable requirements have been satisfied.
6. Digital verification
The issued credential remains connected to the IBQMI issuing authority through digital verification.
A pathway is not the same as a course
A course or learning resource supports preparation. A certification pathway includes the wider professional structure within which preparation, assessment, credential issuance and verification operate.
Completion of learning content does not by itself constitute certification.
Certification occurs only after the applicable pathway requirements have been satisfied and IBQMI has issued the professional credential.
The standards and frameworks foundation
Each pathway is connected to a professional system defined and maintained by IBQMI.
The underlying structure may include a professional standard, framework, body of knowledge, capability model or defined professional role.
The institutional distinctions between these components are documented through IBQMI® standards and frameworks.
Enterprise architecture and artificial intelligence
Lean Enterprise Architect®
The IBQMI Lean Enterprise Architect® pathway addresses AI-native, execution-oriented enterprise architecture and the institutional system defined by the IBQMI Lean Enterprise Architecture Standard.
AI Solution Architect
The IBQMI AI Solution Architect pathway addresses AI solution architecture and the integration of artificial intelligence capabilities into enterprise environments.
DevOps and lean project execution
Certified DevOps Manager
The IBQMI Certified DevOps Manager pathway addresses the DevOps operating model, its management context and the connection between development, operations and continuous delivery.
Certified Lean Project Manager
The IBQMI Certified Lean Project Manager pathway addresses lean project execution and the application of lean principles to project delivery.
Kanban and Kanban Coaching
Approved Kanban Professional

Scrumban work management
The IBQMI Certified Scrumban Practitioner pathway addresses Scrumban work management.
Scrumban combines the delivery structure associated with Scrum and the flow-management principles associated with Kanban.
The pathway represents its own professional system and credential. It is not merely an alternative title for a Kanban or Scrum course.
Total Quality Management pathways
TQM Practitioner
The IBQMI TQM Practitioner pathway addresses the principles and professional application of Total Quality Management.
TQM Trainer
The IBQMI TQM Trainer pathway addresses Total Quality Management together with organizational quality enablement and professional training capability.
The practitioner pathway provides the professional foundation for progression toward the trainer credential.
Different domains, different requirements
The IBQMI pathways share one institutional certification model, but they do not necessarily use identical bodies of knowledge, assessment structures or professional requirements.
Each pathway is governed according to the professional domain and credential it represents.
The existence of one institutional authority does not mean that every credential represents the same role, level or capability profile.
Direct and partner-supported preparation
Candidates may access learning and preparation directly through IBQMI or through authorized training partners, including IBQMI ATP® organizations.
Authorized training partners may support instruction and preparation within the relevant pathway.
They do not own the underlying IBQMI standard, control the credentialing authority or issue the IBQMI professional title.
One credentialing authority
IBQMI remains the standards owner, assessment authority and credential issuer across the certification portfolio.
This institutional continuity applies regardless of the professional domain, candidate location or route of learning preparation.
The meaning of each credential remains traceable to the same institution responsible for the professional system behind it.
Credential issuance and verification
Successful completion of the applicable pathway requirements leads to credential issuance by IBQMI.
Issued credentials remain connected to the institution through the IBQMI digital credential verification system.
Verification allows the credential record to be checked against the issuing authority rather than relying only on a separately presented certificate document.
Global accessibility
IBQMI certification pathways are provided through a globally accessible digital model.
Digital access allows candidates in different countries to participate while the standards, assessment requirements, credential issuance and verification remain governed by IBQMI.
IBQMI students originate from more than 70 countries, as documented through IBQMI®'s global reach.
Pathway development and institutional continuity
Individual pathways may develop as professional domains, technologies and organizational requirements change.
IBQMI has operated continuously since 2015 while retaining responsibility for its standards, assessments, credentials and verification system.
Pathway development does not transfer or interrupt the institutional authority behind the professional credential.
