Enablement may involve learning, facilitation, process support, feedback mechanisms, leadership practice and shared methods. The purpose is to strengthen the organization's ability to produce and improve quality rather than create dependence on a single specialist.
Structures and practices
Quality becomes operational when responsibilities, review mechanisms, improvement practices and evidence are connected to the work system. Enablement therefore includes the organizational conditions that allow quality practices to function consistently.
Professional credentials
The IBQMI TQM Trainer credential validates capability in Total Quality Management and Organizational Quality Enablement. The IBQMI TQM Practitioner credential validates Total Quality Management but remains distinct from the trainer's enablement scope.
